Interesting but pretty nice – These ultrasoft exfoliating sponges are a little different than I expected. They are smoother/softer than I expected since they are advertised as an exfoliating sponge, but it’s pretty nice and I do think it provides exfoliation, but not as much as other exfoliators I have used. Overall, I like these and it’s nice that this comes in a pack of 4 because sponges are something I like to replace frequently.

Soft Sponges – These sponges soften up quickly in water. They are very soft and hold soap well. They do have a string so you can hang them from a handle or hook. Zero complaints. Going with 4 stars until I see how well they hold up over time.

Work when used correctly but came gross – wet & smelling of mildew – I was seriously grossed out when I opened these…each sponge was individually sealed in plastic wrapper but inside you could see it was all damp I don’t know about you, but not something I want in a NEW product. I then opened one and it smelled like mildew…even worse

Can’t get past the feel. – I first opened the pink one and was grossed out because it was already wet. I’ve had spongelle sponges before that were infused with soap so that’s what I thought it might be at first until I realized there was a gross mildewy smell and no bubbles. At first I thought these were meant to be used as more efficient loofahs with body wash, after a failed attempt with that and wondering why these do not lather with soap I went to actually read the description. After reading and drying out the first sponge, I did attempt to use them to slough dead skin and I’m confused because these didn’t do anything for that. I use a dry brush for my legs and arms before I shower and that gives me immediately soft skin (as well as helping with circulation). These seem like a waste unless you need a really gentle non-lathering sponge bath – I’m not sure how effective they’d be otherwise. Everyone’s skin is different, but these did nothing for me. I’m still team dry brush. Not to mention all the sponges I received have a weird wetness in the package and that kind of grosses me out.

The jury is still out – So when these arrived they were individually wrapper, and the wrappers were moist inside as if the were packaged wet and condensation built up in the heat… I’m not sure! So I washed them prior to use and when they dried they were ROCK SOLID. However, when moistened they softened back up and we’re just like a normal bath sponge. It’s actually dense foam like material, that does seem it would exfoliate well without damaging skin. But like I said, I’m just unsure about them still….
