Great value (for a second thermometer) – Overall, I felt this was a really good value, but I found that I did need to calibrate it right out of the box, which contradicts the claim that it is tested for medical accuracy at the factory. Guess what you need first in order to calibrate this thermometer? Yup, you need another thermometer that you already trust to be accurate, so if you’re only planning to have one thermometer in your household, this should not be the one. But once calibrated, it seemed to remain fairly accurate (within normal fluctuation on Fahrenheit mode). I do like that the batteries are ordinary AA unlike my previous digital thermometers.

It is easy to use and possible to check the temperature on several people, one after the other, without turning it off in between. This is a big plus as it significantly shortens the time the members of a group arriving at the same time must wait to be checked.
