Yay and Nay – We love the green natural version. On our cotton cloth diapers it cleans out fine! On anything synthetic like our pockets with micro-fleece stay dry liner, it sticks like white tar. I went to scrub (the should be clean diapers) and the water turned yellow.

Great for Cloth Diapering the Frequent Pooper! – I love this stuff. My baby is a bit of an overachiever with his poops and developed a nasty diaper rash before he was a month old that required a prescription, Aquaphor and a switch to disposables to heal up. While Aquaphor is magical, it’s not good for cloth diapers and I didn’t want to admit defeat in cloth diapering over one rash. Having tried CJ’s Butter and Burt’s Bees Multipurpose Ointment with little success, I decided this was worth a shot to keep future rashes at bay. This really works! I use this daily and alternate with Burt’s Bees at changings to keep him moisturized and he hasn’t gotten more than a quickly conquered, mild rash since. The consistency is similar to sunscreen and it washes off fairly easily with soap and water (important for cloth diapers!). The smell’s not bad which isn’t particularly important to me but it’s nice that it’s not an obnoxious odor. If you’re cloth diapering a baby prone to rashes, I’d highly recommend giving this a shot. I think the only cons to this product are the staining (zinc oxide is messy, fair warning) and the fact that it seems to dry out his tush a little (hence, the alternating). I’m very pleased with this product right now but I’ll try to update if anything changes!

Seriously works – If I could post before and after photos of my baby’s tush, I would. This stuff works better than I ever expected it would. Baby had a gnarly, angry, painful rash on the skin folds of his chubby thighs right where the diaper leg holes sit. After 2 days using this, the dead skin started sloughing off with new, perfect baby skin beneath. By the end of day 3, it was completely gone. We use cloth diapers and haven’t had an issue with absorbency. It makes poop clean up a breeze – like a barrier so the poop doesn’t stick to the skin. The one and only downfall is the smell. It honestly smells like bacon flavored dog treats.

Average – I’ve tried the regular Boudreaux’s in the past and wasn’t blown away by it but based on the aloe and the reviews, I figured we’d try this one out. I know Boudreaux’s has such a following but I never found the original version to help with existing rashes. This one wasn’t any different. I can say that the scent is better than the original and the fact that it seals off baby’s skin from getting anymore rashed is nice but once I wiped my baby, the rash was still there. I’d say if your baby doesn’t deal with rashes/sensitive skin, you may have luck with this cream.

Cloth Diapers, No problems! – Anyone with a cloth-diapered baby knows that it’s hard to prevent diaper rash, and harder to prevent weird stains on the diapers. This does both, and is super spreadable, and affordable. I tried the regular version by mistake and the buildup was gross. The green tube is the way to go! 5 stars for sure.

Best butt paste I’ve ever tried – Im a mother of 3 so I consider myself a pro at this stage. Lol. Im always open to trying different diaper brands for my kids but sometimes that leads to rashes which are painful for kids. I’ve tried so many different brands and I mean so many. All the major brands and I was so happy with this because it is more on the natural side but most importantly, it works. And it works after the first application!!!!! I didn’t have this work with any of the others even the one the pediatrician recommended. We don’t use anything else anymore or even bother trying because this works so well. Don’t buy a different brand. Trust me, buy this and always have it handy in your home because you never know when you’ll need it! It even worked for my husband because his new pants had caused him to chafe and he loved it! I just love that it makes my babies feel better instantly and makes their pain go away by the next diaper change.

Should be marketed for eczema treatment – My 3 yr old daughter has suffered from eczema and steroid ointments have always worked like a charm until recently. She started growing a resistance to them, showed some unnatural hair growth, and it thinned her skin and stripped her barrier. This flare-up and steroid withdrawal was the worst it’s ever been for her. We’ve tried everything! But nothing helps the itch and minimizes the open sores like this zinc oxide, Aloe, castor oil, beeswax concoction of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste! We’re so happy we gave it a try and now it’s our go-to for healthy steroid-free treatment of eczema. Please market this product as such, it will help countless families stay free from the nightmare of unchecked eczema and steroid use. Thank you!!
