Doesn’t work on toddler – It works perfectly on my husband and I but for some reason every time I try it on my 2 year old it doesn’t give me the correct temp. Idk if it’s because he has more chub on his forehead that’s cooler to the touch but that’s the reason why I bought it, for me son. A little disappointing. It’s still a good piece though for my husband and I.

Widly inaccurate – I have 5 different thermometers at home – cheap Orksun, 2 x of these Brauns, a Braun ThermoScan, and an oral thermometer. When in doubt, I trust the oral thermometer. ThermoScans tends to be pretty close to the oral thermometer but I have a toddler that hates it. Orksun, which I think is a cheap Chinese brand, is usually pretty close – within a degree or so. But these Braun forehead thermometers are off by way too much.

Great when their isn’t a fever – I’ve had this for over 5 years, and it works great if their is not a fever. If I test my kids temperature when they aren’t sick it’s very accurate, but if they have a fever I can test them 3-5 times and each one will be different and very from a 99.0 to 105 to 107 sometimes. So when that happens I just pull out the one that goes under the arm and use that one and it tends to be 101 or something like that. So its great but definitely reads wrong when they are actually sick.
