Helped my thinning hair Stay healthy – I needed some time to get to love this shampoo. At first I didn’t think much of it, but it has really been helping my hair to stay healthy. ( Does not dry my hair or fade my color.) Using this product now over 6 month. Maybe 2times/week. I’ve been struggling years with hair thinning and breaking. I have also breaking out on my face from so many other shampoos. I’m happy to say that this calendula shampoo helped my thinning hair and did not cause me any beak outs. And I’m very greatful for that. Thank you.

Gently gets the job done, though I prefer the Unscented – I previously had used the Unscented California Baby body wash and shampoo duo, but was really interested in trying the Calendula kind this time around because I enjoyed the scent of California Baby’s Calendula lotion and enjoyed the proposed healing properties of Calendula.

You can use a very small amount, but this dispenses a lot more. – I just wanted to relay that this runs out quickly because it dispenses more than you need. I like the 6.5 oz tops because you can regulate how much you want to use, whereas this pump action gives you twice or three times the amount you need. Another problem with the pump action is your kids can waste soap by depressing the pump. I don’t like waste and I hate the idea of paying so much for soap I can’t use. I also use soap sparingly on my children and I don’t scrub hard because I don’t want to stress their skin or deplete their natural oils. I use a skin brush to remove excess skin cells and condition their skin. That said, this is the only soap I used on my kids until I ran out recently. I decided to order directly from the manufacturer because I also wanted to buy some of their great sampler kits for gifts to give at a few baby showers coming up. It’s free shipping on orders over 75 and because this soap and their products are so great, I chose to order in bulk. All their prices are far lower than I’ve found elsewhere too. The 6.5 oz lasted me almost a year with my first baby since I was able to use it so sparingly. I would suggest getting the smaller size and refilling it so you can make it last. At the cost for this soap, it’s worth it.

It went from being scaly, red, and flaky on his face and scalp to just a little flaky (he still claws at his head, but that has diminished). He still has some rough patches on his arms and legs, but I think those will clean up with some more prolonged use of the shampoo as well as the lotion.

Of the various shampoos and body washes marketed for children as “tear-free” (including other natural and organic brands — which we generally aim for in all facets of our home life), this one truly matches the claim with the reality. I’ve tested some other children’s “tear-free” brands on myself, letting suds get in my eyes, and was disconcerted to find that they still caused stinging in the eyes.
