They used to be better – We used these a few years ago when they were blue. My daughter was a lot smaller a few years ago and these worked great. We used them for airplane ear pressure. She would scream when plain would land Cause of ear pressure. The blue ones fit great. I thought we were buying the blue ones as stated in the picture but they were clear ones and they wouldn’t stay in my kids ears. They fit pretty good in my ears though. We held them in their ears and they helped still not as good though. We bought some new ones after we arrived at our destination and still got the same. I guess it’s better then nothing but not the same.

Tolerated by a sensitive two-year-old – My two-year-old has tubes in the ear, and our ENT recommended these. I didn’t have a lot of faith, but they worked! They are like regular earplugs, but they have a small hole in them to relieve pressure. I used them for my two-year-old but did not for my three-year-old for the outbound flight. My two-year-old was fine, my three-year-old had ear popping issues. I put them in the ears of both of my children on the way home and they were both perfectly fine. I would highly recommend.

not just for kids! – i f you don’t have a bigger head this is size to try. can only get adult size in most stores! so order kid size here. i use to prevent ears popping & discomfort long after landing. can still HEAR flight attendant talking to you, which is a plus. also great for mountain travel, not just for flying!

If only I’d have known about these earlier… – If only I’d have known about these a few months ago… I’ve ALWAYS had ear crackling and pressure/pain issues after flying. I usually fly every 6 months or so, just a round trip within the US. This year I flew on several trips back to back (about 10 take off and landings) within 3 months and my ears (eustachian tubes) were completely a wreck and have never been the same. My balance was affected for 5 weeks and I walked and felt like I was drunk – very woozy feeling in my head. I couldn’t walk without holding onto something. I tried a netty pot, flonase, eply maneuver, allegra and nothing really helped. The doctor said I had eustachian tube dystfunction. The problem was I needed to fly again and I was really afraid my eardrum was going to burst but I had to fly because I hadn’t been able to drive because of my woozy dizzy feeling, So I googled ear pain while flying and found these little gems. I didn’t have time to order them on amazon before my flight so I picked some up at the airport (more expensive of course) . I followed the directions and put them in my ear before the cabin door closed and left them in until the cabin door opened after landing ( it was a short 1 hour flight). My ears never once popped, crackled or felt pressure or pain! I felt like I won the lottery. I was so worried my ear pain would be horrible that I only booked my flight one way instead of round trip in case I had to MAKE my husband come pick me up if my ears hurt too bad to fly back home. That trip cost me alot extra than it should have because of one way and last minute flight purchases. I am so thankful I found these little gems. I have purchased about 10 of them to keep on hand for my next trips. I will never be without them. I purchased the kid size and they worked great. I’m glad I did because even though my flight was an hour, they began to feel uncomfortable during the flight and I really wanted to take them out to give my ears a rest but I was afraid it might mess up my pressure so I endured the discomfort for the remainder of my flight. If it was a longer trip I would have had to remove them for awhile and put them back in before we descended. I would take a few hours of ear discomfort over my weeks of depending on someone else to drive me around and feeling so awful and woozy.
