Very nice, accurate and sturdy – This is a nice quality thermometer. It was so easy to figure out just pop in the batteries and push the buttons. I took temperatures three times and they all came back the same I felt it was very accurate. It seems like a good quality sturdy thermometer. If you’re worried about your sleeping child, having a fever, you can just sneak in the room and take their temperature without even touching them or waking them. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this nice thermometer.

Very quick and easy body AND surface temps – One would expect to get accurate body temperature measurements from a device like this and it does not disappoint. One of the included photos shows the results of taking my own temperature with this thermometer and a digital in-the-mouth device given to me for a clinical trial. It took almost a minute for the oral thermometer to obtain a reading while the forehead type took about 1 second. The most fascinating feature, for me anyway, is it’s ability to take surface temps. I tried it out on a fresh cup of tea (out of range at first, as indicated by a green Hi screen, then138.9F about a minute later), inside the refrigerator with the door open (40.6F) and freezer (out of range, indicated by a green rdY screen), and a hot tub (100.4F). It is nice that it remembers the last 32 measurements, which are also converted between degrees F and C whenever the device operating mode is changed. The shape is great for being handheld, but not for setting it down on a flat surface. Maybe in a future iteration, small, flat areas could be added to the ends where it touches so that it doesn’t rock back and forth. (That actually has no impact on doing its job, it just makes it a bit difficult to photograph before the screen light goes out.)

So easy to use! – Our temps were accurate compared to our normal temps when we tested this touchless thermometer out. It comes with batteries. I wish I had one of these sooner as my toddlers are very squirmy and generally unwilling to cooperate with temp taking when they’re not feeling well. I recommend. It’s nice not having to dig the rubbing alcohol out every time you use too, especially when one in the household is not feeling well.

It’s extremely easy to use and takes your temperature instantly. Best part is that you don’t have to clean and sterilize after every use. No more thermometer under your tongue waiting for a couple of minutes to read. Just aim 1 to 1-1/2 inches away from your forehead, press the button, and there you go. It stores the readings in memory so you can track your fever when sick. Don’t hesitate to get this one. If I had to list any cons it would be that it feels like it might break if dropped. Update****. Well it fell out of our cabinet onto a tile floor and only the batteries popped out. It’s fine, so it can take a drop ok.

feel like this is not 100% accurate but still very close – The instructions say to let the thermometer adjust to the room temperature for about 30 minutes which I did and after using it for myself and my family who were not feeling well I feel like this is not 100% accurate .
