Seems to work pretty well, but thinner than expected – The consistency of this product is a bit looser, or thinner, than expected. It’s not a paste like most zinc oxide type creams and is thinner and less adherent than Desitin, for example, more a cream than a paste or salve, more like the consistency of Noxema, if anyone remembers that product, and maybe a bit looser even than that.

Opened & used – I received an open container with the safety seal removed and lotion all around the top of the container. It was only half way full it had obviously been used.

It works! – I have been using this on my daughter for 3 days with excellent results. I was skeptical when I first opened the jar because compared to the thick pastes like Desetin and Boudreaux’s, PeriShield is very watery. I didn’t think it would work but I was so wrong. She hasn’t had any rashes so I am impressed. The smell is antiseptic, like a doctors office or an antibiotic ointment but I enjoy that smell because it is clean and fresh. Butt paste and Desetin don’t smell any better, and this is less expensive than competitor diaper ointments, selling at $12.49 per 16 oz currently as of April 26, 2022. They’ve earned a repeat customer in me. It protects my baby’s bum and the price is right!

works great on rash – I got this for my mom who started getting rash under her breasts after her surgery, this cream worked very well on her rash and it started to dry up in just a few days, she hasn’t had rash again but she still applies it just in case since it’s going to start getting hot soon. I’m really glad we found this because none of the cream her doctor prescribed was working.
