      In-ear is accurate – The forehead reader is definitely sketchy and changes depending on temperature in the room.

      Easy to use and very accurate – I bought this thermometer to replace one that had died. The price was good and it seemed to have all the right features.

      Forehead scan not accurate – The forehead scan option is off by 2 degrees compared to a mercury thermometer. The ear scan option is accurate with the mercury thermometer. For that reason alone I plan on keeping this product.
